No, although you do need a resident life license to get on the phones and start selling. If you are not licensed in a particular state and you receive a lead in that state, then you can talk to that client up to the underwriting part of our script. At that point, you will send the call to another agent who is already licensed in that state.
As a temporary courtesy to you, the licensed agent will complete the sale and we will still pay you a full commission. We just ask that you use a portion of your commission from that sale to purchase your non-resident license.
You must have a Windows-based computer with at least an i5 processor and 8GB of RAM; high speed internet (one fast enough to stream Netflix, for example); a headset with microphone; additional recommended items include a webcam and two computer monitors.
Yes and no. Although you are NOT a captive agent, our program requires that you do not have outside Final Expense carriers that you are working with. This can easily become a conflict of interest if you are appointed with other carriers selling competing products. When you submit your contracting paperwork you will be notified if any conflicts exist.
Only one of our current carriers requires E&O coverage to contract with them. The others highly recommend, but do not require, you to have coverage.
We are available when our carriers are available: Mon-Fri, 9 AM – 10 PM Eastern, and Saturdays 9 AM – 4 PM Eastern. We ask that our agents commit at least 40 hours of work within those hours.
You are an LOA agent, and will be paid weekly by our partners at Healthcare Solutions.
